Surgeries are held every day in the mornings, afternoons and
evenings.
Appointments start at 8.15am and end at 6pm. (Please

Patients can only be seen by appointment.

Telephone Appointments
Telephone appointments are available every day from approximately
10.30am until 12.30pm. If you need to speak to a doctor please
book a telephone appointment and the doctor will call you back.
A doctor may ask you to book a telephone appointment to discuss your
results.
The telephone surgery is covered by a different doctor each day.
All calls are recorded for patient safety.

From 1st July 2008, Chineham Surgery will be
offering extended opening in line with a scheme approved by the
Hampshire Primary Care Trust.
During these extended hours, appointments with the GPs will only
available if they have been pre-booked.
Reception will have limited cover and the phone lines will be
open.
Reception will be able to give pre-ordered prescriptions, or
take orders for repeat prescriptions.
Reception will also be able to make or cancel appointments, and
staff can give you results of tests, but if you need to speak to
a doctor, this will be available on the next routine morning
telephone list (10.30-11.30am Monday to Friday)
New hours of opening
We will be open on Mondays until 7.30pm, and alternate Tuesdays
until 7.30pm. We will also open alternate Saturday mornings from
8.30-10am.
Opening hours may be subject to change, depending on demand for
appointments.
These appointments are also available to pre-book on-line,
please ask at reception to register for access to our
appointments and repeat prescription service.
Please remember, if you do not have an appointment, you will not
be able to see a GP during these hours.
Hantsdoc will continue to provide full cover for all urgent
medical problems which require immediate assistance from
1830-0800 on weekdays and throughout weekends on Tel: 0118 936
5592.
How to Request a Home
Visit
If you are too ill to travel to the
surgery, please telephone between 8am and 10.30am so that a
doctor can arrange see you at home that day. A doctor will call
you before you are visited.
Requests made later in the day for non urgent visits to
housebound patients may not be possible until the next working
day.
For urgent visits during normal working hours, please ring the
normal surgery number on 01256 479244.
