About Us
Our Approach to Your Healthcare
We are a small friendly Practice on the outskirts of
Basingstoke. We have free parking on site, and offer a full
range of services including antenatal care, immunisations, minor
ops, family planning and terminal care.
We have modern custom built premises, with easy access to eight
consulting rooms and two treatment rooms. We have ten regular
GPs serving nearly 10000 patients. We encourage patients to see
one GP about a particular health issue, but allow all patients
access to any of the GPs. Most of the GPs are part time, but we
use the medical records to ensure good communication between GPs
and other members of the Primary Care team.
We have two very experienced Practice Nurses, who do most routine
smears, baby and travel immunisations, do specialist dressings,
assist at minor operations and remove sutures. One nurse specialises
in asthma, the other diabetes. We also have two healthcare
assistants, who provide phlebotomy (blood taking) and other checks
such as blood pressure, weight and ECG recordings.
Facilities for Patients with Particular Needs
Access for Wheelchair Users
We
have a ramp to the front door, a small step to stop flooding and bad
weather getting in to the entrance lobby. Please ask any member of
staff if you require help.
Induction loop
We have an induction loop at reception, and fitted in one consulting
room. Please ask if it would help you if we used it.
Parking
We have a space next to the pavement to the front door marked for
disabled users. Please do not park opposite the front door, as this
involves crossing dangerous traffic, and these spaces are very
difficult to get in and out of.
Toilet for Wheelchair Users
We have two toilets off the entrance lobby for general use, and one
with facilities for disabled users off the small waiting area.
